Exhibitions
My work in exhibition consists of a grouping of related photographic images or an installation.
The photographic images and models of domestic interiors depict an elaborate shadow play of fiction and fact inhabited with the traceries of life.
They are constructed realities which relate to the confusion that surrounds memories of childhood.
Presentation
I select different ways of presentation in order to intrigue the viewer and represent the subject matter.
Models viewed through peepholes draw the viewer into an intimate personal experience.
Enlarged pinhole photographs break up into confusion close up so have to be viewed from a distance when the optical qualities of the pinhole camera echo the distortion of memory.
Undecorated and uninhabited MDF models of rooms lit like empty stage sets encourage the viewer to inhabit them with their own life experiences.
Some of the work esulting from residencies has been site specific.
